Homebrew Question Install specific firmware

hi, is there a way to install a specific firmware without buying a physical game?

tried to launch a xci with SX OS but no luck, it doesn't prompt to update my console.

trying to get 4.0.1 from 3.0.1

Yes, though its going to take some work. You must go through this guide. The first time through it will probably take you approx 30 minutes.

found that link earlier, but was hoping for a standard way to install 4.0.1. didn't care about the fuse. but thank you!. i'll see if i can get a 4.0.1 game card before going that way.

I didn't give a shit and updated so I could get the exfat update. I've been checking out homebrew stuff but I can't get a lot of it working and the emulators are seriously lacking quality at this time. I'll probably buy the SX dongle.
