I want to get Super Smash Bros Crash v10.1 working on any DS emulator.
However, the only way to load the game is to put it on the root of an SD Card.
Is there any possible way to create a virtual card, use Winimage to put the files on, then "insert" the card on the emulator? (like with Dolphin?)
Or is it totally impossible....

Have you tried that method like with Dolphin? If not, I think you should and let us know how that works.

I'm sure there's a tutorial out there somewhere.

AFAIK, the easiest way would just be to buy a DS and a flash cart and just do it the way it was meant to be done.

1. Acquire DeSmuME: http://desmume.org/download/
2. Open DeSmuME, Click Config, Slot 1
3. Select R4 Emulation (make sure super smash bros crash is DLDI patched for R4)
4. Make a directory you want for the emulated sd card, preferably just have super smash bros crash in it, as creating a large virtual sd card image takes a long time.
5. Attempt to load super smash bros crash. Also, if you are too lazy/can't patch SSBC, see attached. It gets to the title screen at least.

Great thank you!!!! But what virtual sd card software should i use? All i have is Easy Dolphin SD Card Maker but that wont be compatible with this, will it??
When you select r4 from slot 1 confg, click browse for sd card directory. Point it to the sdcard folder where the sd card folder contains the SSBDS data folder or whatever its called. Desmume makes its own sd card image
