Hardware Innacurate Touch screen

Hi. When i touch the middle left, the 3ds registers the touch as slightly rightwards, so for example, I cannot type "a" with the normal 3DS keyboard. Calibrating the touch screen did not help.
I'm using a N3DS btw.

My friend had a similar problem on an old 3DS and I don't think it can be fixed without replacing the touch screen panel
Does the touch panel look normally and doesn't have any dirt or dents or anything like that?

It looks completely fine.
