First time around attempting to set up a gamecube game, without using Nintendont as a forwarder. I injected the gamecube retail game, and installed it to USB external. Can start game, even my gamecube controller works through a usb adapter, but game won't save. It says memory card slot empty. I know that on Nintendont you have the option of turning off memory card save and allocating space for the saves, but how does it work with an Injected Gamecube game?

I believe i got it, I think i have to edit the nintendont cfg file, so I am working on that right now :)

If your using TeconMoon's Wii/GC Injector app, there is an option called "Nintendont SD CARD Menu" on the top right of the app, here you need to tick the "Memcard Emulation", the Memcard Blocks options on the bottom will no longer be greyed out, either use the default 59 or the other ones, I have mine set to 251. Each game will have it's own save file on the SD CARD\save folder. Optional, you can set the Memcard Multi option, I think this sets one memory card for all games, but I'd prefer one memory card per game.
For ease of use, make sure you connect your SD CARD to your PC and use the Choose your SD CARD options to save directly to your SD CARD.

Man thanks a lot I am going to go try that out now! (Just saw what you were talking about amazing lol)

3 questions though, why wasnt the USB Helper version set up for this?

Also, does forcing wide screen and unlocking read speed create potential hazards?

And finally, I can use my Wii U Pro controller with the Nintendont Forwarder installed on my Wii U Menu, but when I run a injected game by itself it doesn't allow me to use the controller.
How do I remedy this

If your referring to WiiU USB Helper, as you know, development for this app has stopped, some clever folks managed to patched the app to get it working again. The GC inject function within the app was added later and then the dev stopped all work on it, there is no source code for the WiiU USB Helper app so to implement this is going to be hard. Also the WiiU USB Helper wasn't meant to be used as a inject creator, it was just happen that this was included.

Forcing wide screen and any other options might cause some issues, but feel free to try, it's trial and error, if the game doesn't work or have issues, just simply remove those options.
Just be aware that the nintendont config file is a global setting, meaning, every game will use those settings, there is currently no way to create a setting per game.

I may be missing some info but I'm sure others will correct me.

Hope that helps.

Yeah brother, I noticed that the app is lacking (USB Helper). I did discover a tool that allows you to create separate setting files for each game, its name is NinCFGEditor. I was able to compile but I didn't really need it since I dont care if they all use the same setting.

Thanks for the help

Any ideas about making the Wii U Pro Controller work? The gamepad does, but the controller doesnt. When I turn on the wii u pro, it always gets registered as second after the Gamepad.

Ok the trick is, you have to deny Use App with Gamepad. Then next step will require you to use your Wii Remote to tell it whether u want game displayed on Gamepad as well, you can choose either one. Then when the game starts just activate your Wii U Pro Controller and it will be registered as 1, and ull be able to play with it. Make sure no controllers are wired to the usb, otherwise itll make your Pro Controller 2 or something and only your home button will work.
