Would you like to see development for IR homebrew (CPP or not) on the 3ds?

((((why the necrothread-ing))))

GBC doesnt support pokemon trade via IR anyway

Right, the only IR transferring you could potentially do Pokemon-wise is with GSC's Mystery Gift function and the side-game Pokemon TCG's Card Pop! feature.

I was bored and thought I would try this out since Rosalina (∩ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)⊃━☆゚ seems to run the 3dsx at a different scope. I have N3DS XL with Luma v8.0 and boot9strap 1.2.
Sadly, holding my 3DS in front of several IR controlled devices had no effect. I also tried to get a picture of the IR light, but my iPhone SE didn't see a thing, even in complete darkness.
Interestingly, the remotes I own had effects on the 3DS, each with slightly different outcomes. I tried 3 different times, 2 times with an Onkyo AMP remote, and 1 time with a DirecTV remote. Both screens changed every time, but the upper screen seemed to be consistent each time. The data received on the bottom screen was different each time, however.
It was "ff", "ffff", and repeated "6d" and "ad". Nothing else would appear after it stopped.
Here is a screenshot of the latter occurrence:

Notably, relaunching the app after it received data caused an exception to occur. I have attached the crash dumps. This did not happen when no data was received. Also, using the built-in ZL and ZR buttons and the C-Stick had no effect on the top screen. I hope you guys the best in your research!

Sorry for the necrobumping, but has anyone tried passing the peripheralID in the first byte of cmdbuf[1] instead of the fourth in the example DI2edd provided?
