Hacking Increase signal strength of sensor?

I just got a Wii.. the motion sensor stuff drops off at about 2.5 meters from the sensor panel....

Is there anyway to increase the range ? This is really small...

well, try going into settings and increasing the sensitivity

First go to the settings and adjust them.
And make sure there are not interfering light sources, like big windows or perhaps a christmas tree.
If it still doesn't work, you could make yourself another sensor bar with more powerful infrared leds.

Get the NYKO wireless sensor bar. Lots of people have said it gets much better range plus its wireless.
