Hacking Incompatible PS1 Games Through Injecting?

Pardon me if I sound like a moron, I don't know very much about this type of stuff. Just looking over threads about the new discoveries and saw that it's possible to inject a file to be download in place of another file downloaded from the store, so I was wondering, would it be possible to get the PS1 games that are unavailable in the US on a US Vita then? I do own them on PSN if it affects it.

Also, if possible, would it stay upon updating?
