How do you replay against the Inazuma KFC? I was hoping to level up some by doing another match or two against them, but I can't find an option to do so. Also, how do you access the Connection Map?

Thanks

I'm enjoying this, I only wish that getting other players was more worth it compared to the original team or story characters, nearly everyone you start with is way better than anyone you recruit. The only exception is maybe Tod, but he has a few good skills for his position.

Is that really true? I've heard people saying that, that's a shame I was looking forward to cool obtainable players to add to the team. I tried looking around for a list of best players but I could only find it for the second and third games. At least those put more interest in the extra players, but apparently this one doesn't.

Oh, 'cause one of the characters mentioned something about being able to play against the KFC anytime for practice.

@GeekyGuy, it may just be that i have finished the game, but i think you'll find that once you have beaten occult and you have some time where you don't need to ge to the river bank, you can talk to the little girl ( i think her namews millie) and play another game.

it gets easier once you get use to the controls and learn some special moves

Well, perhaps try approaching battles more along the lines of an RTS than an action sequence. Really, that's what seems to be at the heart of the soccer battles. The A.I. is pretty doable. Just keep passing the ball, use the moves that are most likely to be successful based on the elements of the players going against each other, and everything kind of falls into place. Don't worry so much about moving your players; they'll mostly take care of themselves. Just concentrate on the ball and who's in possession of it. If you're doing regular battles, your GK can usually save with one of his regular moves; during matches, you'll mostly want to use his special move(s), though.

...When you look at the settings of the other 2 games: Going around Japan and trying to find players to take on aliens for the second and going around Japan to find the best team to compete in the youth world cup, it makes me wonder if those will ever be localized. ...

I get the sense that European audiences are generally more accepting of...how should I say it, Japanisms than the U.S. We love our violence, whereas quirkiness isn't necessarily a turn-off in other parts of the world.

I guess the bottom line, of course, is whether or not this one sells well in the territories it was released. Nintendo published it, and that's probably the only reason it was given a chance outside of Japan at all; they're willing to test the waters -- they can afford to. If it sells along similar lines as EBA in the U.S., then there's likely little hope of seeing the other two games localized.

Sales are a big figure I suppose. From what I've heard it's been doing really well in most European countries, being a big bestseller NDS game on Amazon in a few countries for a while. A lot of people have said that a bunch of kids have had the game preordered after seeing the anime. I guess we'll have to wait and see how it does when it comes out in the UK. It just seems like the localization is very... localized, haha. Just feels like the kind of thing that means they weren't taking the other two games into consideration, at least how I see it.

Let's hope for good sales! I hear that the other two games have a lot more to offer with customizing your team rather than using the main characters all the time.

I suppose I'll just wait a bit after playing this, see if there's any idea about getting the other two released in English, and if not, I should know enough about how the game works to play them in Japanese after having played a version in English.

I feel like a lot more people will be playing 2 and 3 in Japanese after this came out, part of the reason why I never tried these games in Japanese and waited for so long was because I felt I would have little idea as to what I was doing.

Also maybe there will be more motivation for a fan translation if there is no announcement in the near future.

Im gonna wait for some japan dub/names patch because when i see "Bobby Shearer" or "mark evans" im getting heart attack after watching anime.

otaku team =COMPLETE BS

Lol, really? I had no trouble with them. As long as Mark and Axel are OK, shouldn't be too much of a challenge. Just keep passing around instead of dribbling and do sliding tackles. Use your special techniques as much as possible and remember you can power up by holding L or R. Pass to Axel when hes in range to score and Mark should be able to pull off God Hand a few times.

Did anybody else get a crapload of Fouls/Offsides during the Wild match?

Nah, but I got quite a few during the Occult match, which leads me to believe there's a percentage of a chance to get a foul during dribble duels.

has anyone been able to buy things in the chemist shop or change the AI BEHAVIOR LIKE IN THE JAPANESE VERSION?
Ive been able to buy stuff from the chemist (if its the shop im thinking) but A.I. is a something i haven't come across

Apparently, IE1's localization upgraded the game to follow many IE2 conventions, so you can't change AI behavior.
