Hacking in 4.0u screen freezes? help me

hi to all of u
i have 4.0 u version wii cansole
i used the guide and follow the steps very carefully
after copying the intended file to my formatted sd card root but
after pressing yes in dialogue box to run boot.elf/boot.dol file my screens freezes
please help me!!!!!

If you want a good answer you have to give a better explanation of what you are doing, and what you have done. Sounds like you did not update, The tutorial is for 4.2.
