IMPORTANT !! FIREFOX Browser de-activates ADD ON s !!

I completely understand how you feel. I'm very disappointed with firefox too.
I am currently temporarily trying a browser called Falkon on my windows 7 laptop.
I am like you. I do not even have chrome on my radar and never will use them again unless forced to.
I always look for open sourced based on ff (although Falkon is not ff based)

pshhi, after them banning dissenter app their claims to support free internet is nothing more but empty rambling and lies. I immidiately jumped to Brave Browser because:
1st. I don't like scumbags that claims something and do completely opposite things.
2nd. Brave devs' ideas and innovations in advertisement sound reasonable enough to make me want to support them.
3rd. Lol i want to use my dissenter ffs.

are forks/mods like waterfox affected too?

I'm on last esr with addon support, because my OWN created addon can't be updated.
I might switch to waterfox or other flavored firefox version if they don't have that issue. at least, legacy addons are still working on waterfox, but I don't know if they have the cert date problem too.

For now, with ESR I didn't have that certificate issue and disabled addons, but I suspect I won't be able to fix it without updating, so it might be time to switch to waterfox if I have that bug.

edit: seems waterfox 68 breaks legacy extension too... they updated the overlay function.

I'm fairly certain it affects forks/mods because my icedragon is one and it was affected

I only can give informations which is confirmed:

Users of all Firefox versions, old and new, and Stable and Nightly, are impacted. The issue also impacts the Tor Browser, which supports Firefox add-ons.

So people are still having trouble? Hey @Cyan? I thought you'd figured out a work around?
I had the problem crop up again today on another device. I've disabled script verification on both devices but that's not a permanent solution. Can it be dangerous to leave script verification disabled?

See Mozilla, this is why you keep losing users, and are a shell of your former self. I stopped using Firefox years ago, because they kept fucking updating, and changing the damn UI.
