Hacking I'm stuck on how to install Virtual Console Injects using WUP Installer

Okay, so I found this thread (Yet Another Noob Question: Wii U USB Helper to Haxchi/Mocha CFW to WUP woes) about this person who was stuggling to install a file to the Wii u home screen, and I'm struggling with the same issue. I boot up into Haxchi or Mocha and try to install it but, it says something about signature patches not on or something like that, the same issue that he was having. I was following along and went into my Haxchi folder to edit the config file, but mine is completely different then his was. Mine doesn't have sysmenu as well as a=fw.img.

b=wiiu/apps/wupinstaller/wupinstaller.elf

Default=wiiu/apps/mocha/mocha.elf


I looked althroughout the SD card and couldn't find fw.img. I also followed a tutorial by gameincanada, I can't link it because when I post it the website says that it's a spam post if it contains hyperlinks, in order to install homebrew on my Wii U. I just don't want to risk anything because the last time I dwindled off trying my own way to boot up CFW, I bricked my 3ds. So that's why I'm here. I just want to install Mario Party 1 and Mario Party 3. Thank You.

It looks like because urs is set up for mocha
You can change your config and just reinstall haxchi to apply the changes. U can also from hb launcher in App Store get sigpatches app and run that and that would allow u to do VC
But u should just straighten out ur haxchi setup
For ur config do Instead of mocha just alter the default to sysmenu then just reinstall haxchi over the ds VC game u purchased from the eshop. Need to reinstall for change to take effect
Fw img is more of an older custom thing and you don’t really need it. Mocha is like a free haxchi but u still need the web browser exploit to trigger it
Haxchi replaces the web browser exploit method to a ds VC game u start up instead of going to web.

Kafluke took the time and wrote up a nice easy reading guide. Use it for reference if need be. He describes various methods. Stick with just haxchi. And later on maybe cold boot haxchi

Download the latest version of Haxchi (not CBHC)(https://github.com/FIX94/haxchi/releases/latest)
Edit the config file to your liking. The sysmenu option is for Haxchi CFW which includes Sigpatches. Mocha CFW isn't really needed if you have Haxchi CFW.
Run the Haxchi installer and install your new Haxchi setup over the old one and enjoy.

Did you setup the config file on how you wanted to change it? And yes just rerun it from hblauncher and choose the ds VC game u got legit from eshop. And it will install it over what you have

And what are you trying to install with WUP Installer?
I seen mentioned mp 1&3

Alternatively you could install cold boot haxchi. Which u won’t have to startup anything when power on Wii U. It is down automatically. There’s a menu u can get to by pressing home button at the black screen after the first two splash screens

Did you read the noob guide as suggested? It tells you how to modify HaxChi config correctly. You just need to change default=sysmenu. You don't need Mocha

Just make sure config is in haxchi folder and in apps and to run install after u changed config. If just change config it won’t do anything as that stuff is being installed over the ds game and then loaded from that and that is why have to reinstall haxchi for any changes to go into affect.
