Hacking I'm really stuck - recent r4i 3ds gold purchase

Hi guys, I've been looking here, youtube, and google for a plain answer and I'm just not seeing it. I just received the r4i 3ds gold flashcart from ndsgames.com and I followed the directions from http://r4i-gold.com/en/download/skin/2012/0115/282.html.

Now I am getting the message in white letters R4i Gold 3DS Starting.

I'm lost, how can i fix this problem?

firmware is 3.0.0.6u

I think you got the wrong R4, and the wrong firmware or loader.

Wait what message are you getting when you boot it up? Does the message not advance? Be as specific as possible and I'll tell you what is wrong.
Do you have the "Pro" edition? A direct link to the card you bought would be helpful.

You should've looked at shoptemp first. You payed $20 for that card.

I think the R4i GOLD 3DS was a good choice.
The seller might be a little over priced however at least you didn't have to wait for it to get shipped from China.
The kernel you need "Wood 1.46" was released today.

In the future it will be very easy to update the Wood kernel by wi-fi by pressing the Start button on the Wood menu, then selecting Tools & then pressing the "A" button to go to the Update Menu.
When you are in the Update Menu set the Update Module, Main Module & SaveSize.BIN all to on.
Also, If you like to use cheats in any of your games set the Cheats DB to CMP & then press "A".
It will then ask you if you want to update & since you do press "A" again.
After it is done downloading everything you will be up to date.

You might want to go ahead & update to get the latest Codemasters Project Nintendo DS Cheat Database.

Keep In Mind, That this will only work if you have a working connection in the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection settings.
Follow this "http://www.nintendo..../ds/connect.jsp" guide if you need any help getting a working connection in the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection settings.

Aijelsop - what OSpencerO said is why it cost that much. It literally took 2 days to get to me from Texas. I'll gladly pay extra for that. I'm not rich, but I am an active seller on ebay, so paying a little extra doesn't bother me. But I appreciate the link. I'll let my friend know if he decided to hack his DS. Just don't plan on sending it back just to get another one.

OSpencerO - I'll go ahead and update what I have now. I have (as should everyone) wi-fi at home. So an active connection isn't a problem. This is so much more simpler than my PSP and that Wii. Just needed the right file.

You should have known the r4i gold 3DS you bought is from r4ids.cn and use wood firmware. So just use the wood firmware from www.r4ids.cn..
