GH 5 doesn't work for me either. I get the same error for GH 5 that you get for SSBB. I don't think it's the burn or my Wii. :^)

Use configurable usb loader with mload223 or uloader with 223..

did you install ios 55? while maybe not necessary cannot hurt...hermes 223 (ios36 merged with ios37) works fine under usb loader gx rev717 (not positive about rev number) with cios 38rev14 for guitar hero 5, but ssbb has issues with cios38rev14, no need for hermes on that one...try a different loader if you don't know how to use usb loader gx

The GH5 issue has been addressed elsewhere in a 20+ page thread. As for SSBB the fact you can load the game and start playing it before it crashes is simply indicative of a bad rip from your original (or more likely back-up). If it was a P2P download I suggest you use a different source.

Try USBloader CFG with IOS switched to 222 for playing SSBB. This works for me. In IOS 249 rev 14, the double layer support is broken ...

I'm having the same problem with the Mario and Kirby fight. Every other game works fine.

Here's my solution to the same dilemma, hope it helps everyone here (and isn't considered spamming!):

My advanced Wii-hacking buddy saved my butt -- yet again!

I had installed the proper WAD from here but it did not work for me either! My buddy gave me a *MODDED* WAD file and after installation, the game booted beautifully.

If you need the WAD -- and are getting a brief green screen then black nothingness -- give me a shout.
