Hacking IDA Pro Relinking Guide?

I just want to know how to relink pointers offsets, I have never done it.. and my experience with assembly is quite limited. Any able to give a quick cpl sentences on how to use IDA Pro 5.2 to relink pointers? My translation is around 50% complete, most things no problem with size but there are a few dozen that ive shortened the names like AzuLosCarapace for Azure Rathalos Carapace lol. This is alright for my first beta release, but I'd prefer on a later revision of my translation to have the full names.

thanks eycaramba but I think i am giving up on relinking pointers for now, I am just going to come up with a nice easy on the eyes abbreviation standard for the entire thing. The problem is I can't even get a straight answer as to WHAT is used to relink pointers, am I changing the Xhref bit in IDA? looking for LINK? I dunno, everyone is tight lipped, anyways viva la MH!
