There are shops who could install it if you bring the chip, maybe ?
Sure I could find one if I take my time, but I would trust more someone from the temps. (?)
Well, I will be more willing to give my money to someone from the temps... Yeah, that last statement is more realistic.

I mean, for the modchip installation service.
i remember back when i was living in germany with my whole family back in 2000-2005.

me and my bros had a silver ps2 (damn that thing was sleek!) and i went downtown with my bro once there was this shop that soldered chips onto ps2's.
(i have no idea what sort of chip?)

but it was dang pricey, iirc. we paid them aroud 70-90Euros.

and guess what, it was very shitty in the long run.
it did not take 6months for it to start scratching the discs badly.

it made creaking noises and so on. (edit: and the chip sort of wore off? like it would not read the burned discs anymore.)

but now (well i am living in Iraqi Kurdistan as it is where i am from).
and there are loads of slim ps2s premodded, and they work briliiantly!

i had purchased one 3years ago for my old school rpgs haha.
(i like using discs, i know there now is even some hdd loading for the slim ps2s with a special memory card i believe, no idea!)

Can't even spell their team name right and you going to trust him. Besides noone including me know what is needed its all pure guess work and speculation right now.

@garyopa please, could you explain me something?

I remember that, all things were free in the beginning of the xbox scene, but around jtag hack the scene slowly went step by step to commercial.
Why?

Oh, that brings memories from Argentina.
They straight sold you the systems pre-modded, and if you needed one to get modded, it was quite easy to find someone that would do quality work... old times...

haha , it is the same here !
they are all premodded.

ps2s/ps3s you can find tons of them.
and they work pretty dang well.

when my fat ps3 decides to stop working, i will get a slim ps3 premodded (they go for around 160$ now.)

This means software piracy has come to a finalised stage. They've just obviously sold the hack to the modchip makers for the moment to capitalise on and eventually the software hacks will come out.

Whenever you do provide these services, please do all the deals in public (except for the private information of course), in the trading area. And make sure to use the feedback forum and stuff. This is for the safety of everyone, since transparency helps IF some issue would occur some way or another.
Deadlyfoez is known since the Wii days. He is pretty legit.

I personally prefer the free solution for everything - even, we have life, the most valuable ever & we had to pay nothing for that.

I can explain! Everything went from hacking the DVD-player (still required special hardware) to doing JTAGs. Then after JTAGs since it got fixed it turned in to Reset Glitches.
@DinohScene knows more.

I know, point still stands. Dealing via PM alone isn't as safe for both seller and buyer. Having all communication in the open, visible by peers, reduces the risk of someone trying to screw someone else over.

The RGH could be done with a simple CLPD chip but not everyone has the knowledge and tools to make a glitch chip.
So TX made the coolrunner, which is a very solid glitch chip (I own the first gen, first iteration and it's still going strong, despite the non optimized wiring)
Which evolved in the CR3 and CR4.
Other companies produced "clone" variations of the Coolrunner and some made their own.
The only "chinese knockoff" chip that's good is the Ace 360 V3.

Yeh, DVD flashing basically is free, but some drives need some extra things done to them.
PMT aka Pogo Mo Thoin is essentially free but TX provided us with a nice Probe 3 (which is a fancy PMT)
The Slim drives requiring Sputnik/Kamikaze hacks can be flashed for free, if you got the guts, otherwise dump the FW and flash it to a replacement board that TX has provided.

JTAG is free, you only need some resistors.
Always will be free unless you want to spend money on it.

All in all, TX has produced quality hardware, hardware I still use to this very day.
I get it tho, whiny pirate kiddies and Nin10year olds wanting everything handed to them for free (3DS CFW, Wii CFW, Wii U CFW) but sometimes, hacking just isn't free if you want to do it properly.
Besides, they already get their games for free so spending a little more on a proper hack or proper media to backup/store their games is the least they could do.

I agree with you Issac.
I've been fucked over by some scrubs with a low post count here.
It's also one of the reasons I kinda stopped flashing drives for free.

Yeh, I provided a free flashing and JTAG/RGH service and people still managed to cheap out/fuck me over.

I will gladly take you into consideration, well, it also makes shipping, etc. easier for me.
But well, first I should wait until the chip gets released ;)

absolutey waiting is necessary. Maybe it is simple clip on or bypass stuff to connect only. maybe don´t even need for shipping depending on our locations :D

Yes, you silly gosh darn punk. Auto correct on my phone really speaks loudly about my ability to solder and mod consoles. Shut the heck up. Silly poop head.

You can't seem to use proper grammar, but you have somehow been in the scene for over a decade.

Hmmmmmm. Maybe, just maybe, what comes out of the keyboard is not a reflection of someones skills.

Seriously, quit being a high and mighty baby and be a baby back on your own forums. Dont come here to start stuff, then make mistakes of your own, and then think that you are the top dog. Screw off.

Plus, sir butthat, i was the one that publicly come out with a way to unbrick wiis. May not be that big of a deal, but i have repaired nearly 400 wiis from people all around the world. I have plenty of people on this forum that know my work. So with or without your wee wee baby bullcrap, people still know of my skills and reputation and dont give a fart about my spelling mistakes or auto correct messing things up on me. You seem to be the only baby that cared.

What i find hilarious is that i knew auto correct was friggin up the spelling on me, but i didnt care to take the time and fight with auto correct to get it right. I figured some stupid little 12 year old baby was gonna give me a hard time about it since those are the little babies that make a big deal about stupid stuff like that. And here you are.
