All I have to say is that I vouch for Foez.
If a board needs to be soldered in a Switch, Foez is the one to do it.

I once had the opportunity to purchase a JTAG machine off off him where he soldered in a swappable NAND seating.
I wish I took the offer.
I forget what I did with that console. I think I may have sold it to my cousin. That thing was awesome.

Those tsop48 clips were the most difficult thing I have ever soldered as they would fucking melt the moment any bit of heat got around them. I did one on my Wii, on that 360, and I was attempting to do one on a dual nand PS3, but that ended up being impossible.

Those damn clips can't handle temps above something like 150c and the only way to solder them on is with a reflow. I did it on my first shot with the wii and 360, but I tried like 4 of them on the ps3 and it always fucked up from either them melting or the pcb ever so slightly warping.

I am not saying it was a mistake to create this thread, even in the time that you did. it kind of acts like preordering, so I don't really mind it.

What I would have done personally is wait until they reveal the method they are using. For all we know, it could be a solderless board (I never really followed Team Xecute before, so I don't know their style). Something that would make this offer more appealing to me is providing insurance for like, an extra $5. That way, you would be making more money because your skills would be good enough not to screw up, but your reputation won't be tarnished if you accidentally screw up on a Switch.

Might want to allow people to send you PMs as well.
Didn't realize I had that blocked. Ok. I will open it in a minute.

Ok. I think I fixed it. IDK why it went that way, but it would explain why I haven't gotten any PMs for repairs in a while.

@Devin Try now please to make sure that I got the right setting adjusted. Thank you.

They have had solderless solutions in the past that people have had mixed results with. I find them as troublesome especially for someone that doesn't feel comfortable opening their console or other electronic devices if something comes loose.
The solutions that require soldering are a lot more permanent and usually cheaper.

Once this gets released I will offer installations for those that are uncomfortable with opening a switch and soldering to it as well. Hell, I will even make a raw dump of the eMMC for everyone so they have a backup in case needed for the future.

At this exact moment I don't know how much I will charge for the service. Likely somewhere between $30 and $50, but that all depends on how much time will go into each install and how difficult it is.

I am only making this thread here now so once it does get released everyone will already know who to go to when they don't want to chance doing it themselves.

I am sure that a good portion of you know who I am and the work I have done, so my reputation is good.

I will likely only take requests from North America because of shipping costs.

Thank you everyone, and happy hacking.
And now I know I am going to get a bunch of people bitching about me making this thread.
hi if i hire you in bulks for my family and coworkers switch wil laboure be cheapest or stil 30$

I'd usually be very hesitant to send such an expensive console out to a stranger, but the work you've done is beautiful, so I think I can trust you.

Can you explain how you acquired the 15 seconds demo video while we're at it? :)

I help manage their TX forums along with many other sites so they can stay focused on coding and designing, and since they have no youtube channel, they email me the video to add to the news post, also helps to reduce heat when it comes to takedown notices, i am fall guy with the stack of dmca/takedown/legal letters from posting videos/news (I use it for fire starters, scrap paper in printer, nice how one side always blank, etc), i lost like 4 youtube channels over the years. Besides does not anyone remember when I was releasing things like hitachi xbox 360 firmwares with c4eva, i been around from the start of the scene long before even websites exist like this one and my own, when we used to met in coffee shops, code up demo reels as we eating nice breakfest. -- those were the days, sat. morning swap-shop breakfest club meetings with everyone, face to face not all this typing on forum half-way around the world, not knowing anything about anyone but their silly avatar, sorry i am ranting away, lack of sleep... (soapbox off)... :)

I remember you, of course - you are a legend - thanks for everything. I had Samsung drive that time, that was better than hitachi - lol

Whenever you do provide these services, please do all the deals in public (except for the private information of course), in the trading area. And make sure to use the feedback forum and stuff. This is for the safety of everyone, since transparency helps IF some issue would occur some way or another.
