i recently got into the whole wii modchip scene again because brawl is almost out.
but i had a question.

I downloaded a few Wii "backups" from misc. torrent sites and i was wondering if you download them, are they already unscrambled?
the file size is 4.14 gigs in a .rar. and 4.37 unzipped. so from here, can i just burn onto a dvd and play?

most backups already put on the internet are already unscrambled, if it's .iso format you're fine

Yes that's the correct size. You can write that image to dvd.

Yeah, I've seen one. It was Rayman Raving Rabbids PAL.

Only the first 30 or so iS0s ever released were scrambled.

just for reference:

If it's 4 699 979 776 bytes, it's unscrambled.
If it's 4 700 012 544 bytes, it's unscrambled with unscrambler 0.4 which adds an extra 32 768 bytes to the file (JESUS release)
If it's 4 736 698 368 bytes, it's in raw format and must be unscrambled.
