Hardware I quicksoldered my wiikey am I out of luck when it comes to installing

I heard you could install a switch on a quicksoldered wiikey but it would be hard. Should I attempt to remove the wiikey from the wii and go wired or try and install the switch the way it is? I can wait if I have for the FW update that will never come out if those methods are gonna be to hard

if your really good at soldering then remove it and do a wired solder and install a switch
