Homebrew I need someone to catch me up.

So I haven't touched anything with my 3DS since the update 11.8 came out. My 3DS is on 11.7 and with Luma3DS (ver 8 or 9 I think?). So I remembered reading that when 11.8 came out it had messed up Luma and Freeshop. I would like to update everything now.

Anyone could fill me up on what have I missed? Or should I stayed on 11.7?

You can update to 11.9 but use Luma3DS 9.1, freeshop is dead though, you gotta look for games in cia format.

Are you still on A9LH? You should update to B9S before proceeding. You should be on B9S with the latest Luma version before running the official system update otherwise it could boot to a black screen (not a brick, but it's more of a hassle to update from this state).

Then update the Homebrew Launcher and the Luma Updater app you're good to go. Delete FreeShop, it doesn't work anymore and running it runs the risk of a ban.

As usual make sure you've disabled both "Sending of system information" and "Share what I've been playing with my friends" as a precaution against getting banned. This isn't related to the update, just recommended in general.

Yes. I forgot to mention that I am on A9HL. So I should update B9S and update Luma using the Luma updater, correct? If I may ask, how would I go about updating B9S? Sorry, I have been out of the loop for so long. Shoot I had no idea we were at 11.9. Thought it was 11.8 haha.

Also, don't skip any of the installs in that tutorial. Even if you already have the apps installed, run through the whole process anyway. I don't think old versions of Luma Updater even work anymore. Homebrew Launcher had an important update at some point as well.

Yeah going through my 3DS. I left off on B9S 1.3 and Luma3DS 8.0. But thanks, I shall update Luma and Godmode to the latest one.
