And besides. If you already pirated the game, why do you want to reinstall it from the eshop? Nintendo is gonna notice that a ticket for your eshop account showed up without any transaction going on.

This is a (very bad) manual to attempt fraud.

Doubt this would work.

Nintendo can (technical side) give away licenses this way. The 3DS will (re-)download missing tickets your account has. I read they might do it when you can prove having a faulty cartridge. But claiming to have paid a game when you didn't is not gonna work – especially considering this highly questionable method has been posted in public.

If something went wrong in the purchase process, there should be records of attempts and a comparison of funds added/spent on the account.


Attempting this should at minimum lead to a banned account/console… and maybe even to very nice letters and consequences in court.

It’s actually wire fraud, because it’s taking place over a phone line. That’s a federal crime in the U.S., one you go to prison for.
