Alright.. I would be REALLY grateful if a fellow GBATemp member helped me on one Question. I'm in Algebra II but we had a Geometry/Algebra I Review sheet today... I'm really stuck on one question... Due to me dozing off during class... I will KISS your feet if you help me answer it. =P

Write an equation of the line that passes through the point (2, -3) and has a slope of -1.

~This seems extremely simple, but I really have no idea how to do it... Damn my tiredness... Thanks for picking up my slack!

y=mx+b

where...

m= slope
b= y intercept

sooo...

y=-1x+(-1)

ps. I got the -1 by doing this:

Since it HAS TO pass through the point (2,-3) i simply plugged in those values into the equation:

y=-1x+?
into...

-3=-1(2)+?

and got -1 for the y intercept. Plugged it into the equation and there ya go!

Is that Algebra II ?
I read Analysis III now...
like...
calculate the double integral:

Integral Integral lowered D for e^((y-x)/(y+z)) dxdy
where D is the triangle with the corners in (0,0), (4,0) and (2,2).

I hate it... exam is next Wednesday! :

Guys, what does integration have to do with algebra?

Maybe it's the way the Canadian education system is, but Calculus is a completely different branch from Algebra. Algebra is like proving stuff, vectors and equations and rearranging them. Calculus is the one with functions, differentiation and integration.
