Hey guys I lost my wiis sd card that I homebrewed years ago and now I can't do much without the sd card. What can I do to get everything back like it was?

Hello.:)

No backup from your SD Card ? Why........

If you want it "back like it was" you have to remember which Applications you have on it.:)

If you have BootMii installed, you can run the HackMii Installer again and choose "Prepare SD Card".
Otherwise you can do Letterbomb (if your Wii is on System Software Version 4.3x) with HackMii Installer again and install BootMii too.

Then you can download your Apps again and put it in the Folder "apps" on the SD Card.

Or you can use @XFlak´s Mod'Mii too.It has also all needed Tools and Loaders "On Board".

You have the Choice.

Thank you and
Good Luck.:)

The only reason I didint have a backup is because my brother did it years ago and idk if he did or not. I'm going to prepare sd card route because it sounds easy enough
Thanks sososososo much !

The "prepare sd card" route will just allow u to access bootmii. Assuming you want more than just bootmii access, you can use modmii. Use one if Modmii's wizards or just download the homebrew you want from Modmii Classic's download page 2

Sorry for asking such a stupid question but what is modmii? Sorry me and my brother homebrewed this wii like 5 or 6 years ago so I forgot a lot of things...

Hello.:)

I hope @XFlak did not hear this.

It is the Swiss Knife for the Wii.

You can

- Softmod your Wii from Stock on or update an existing One.
- choose and install any Tool/Channel/System Menu Version/App/cIOS and so one that "exist".
- Region change on your Wii
- Setup USBLoader
- NAND Builder,SNEEK Installation,Fowarder Builder....
- and many more......

Download,READ careful and in Calm and Peace and....
throw yourself in the Dust in awe of Master XFlak.:rofl2:

No, seriously, with this "Tool" you can do pretty much anything with your Wii.

Thank you.:)

Ohh yeah now I remember.
Thank you guys so much!
Is there anything you guys think I should do now?
I already have a wii menu theme and USB loader gx. Is there anything else I should do?

If your USBloader GX "load" the Games and all plays well, actually nothing.:D

But for yourself and if you like you can do:

- a sysCheck
(A very good Manual is here -> https://gbatemp.net/threads/posting-a-system-check.300279/ )

- use it for Updating your Wii (if necessary).
(use your generated sysCheck on ModMii and it will tell you what is to do).

- install the suggested Tools/Apps/cIOS and so on.

As I say,if you like,it is not a must.:)

Thank you.:)

U could look into emulators for older consoles, or nintendont for GameCube games. You could build an emulated nand and install wiiware or virtual console games to your hard drive or SD card and load it using USB loader gx or sneek/uneek. There's lots you CAN do, but honestly all I ever use on my wii is a USB loader and fceugx (for NES emulation), so to each his own.
