I just realized my birthday is going to be disappointing.

Is tapping in such a thing on a site like https://www.game-debate.com/gpu/ind... Radeon RX 580 8GB-vs-Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 so very hard? They look like they have some hard data as well (in game no less rather than synthetic pointlessness).
Looking at that it does bump some things up on ridiculous settings to rates that might be considered acceptable for some (the 60fps or don't bother set) where the other will struggle but lower settings will play most of the same games just fine. Abilities wise they are about on par really (the 580 might be faster at some things but also goes for an older standard, not that it matters much) and they might well have some different ports but that probably comes down to use case (I like multiple monitors myself).
Afraid I don't know the $170 range GPU markets (second hand or new) right now to know if in turn the 580 is over priced or not and if you could do better for the money.
From where I sit though if that is going to be the performance bump then meh.
