That should work. Make sure to use the right version of recovery firmware for your ps4. Cant see why you wanna put a 256gb disk in tho. The games that have long loading times are often the large ones and you are not gonna be a able to fit many of those on a 256gb drive.

Also from what i read the hdd controller on the PS4 cant handle the high data tranfer speeds that the SSD is able to put out so you are not gonna see much of a difference. Unless you have a PS4 Pro.

god of war is big and loads fast
after dying immediately load the checkpoint
one long load is fine but after dying it has to load checkpoint right away

I think the best option you could have to not have the long loads is 'don't die'

Yeah, you have to reinstall the firmware. You need the recovery firmware, since it's a new drive.

no, remove the old hdd, then insert the ssd. it should ask for you to reinstall the firmware. the name recovery update isn't really accurate. it's to reinstall a console's firmware where the hdd has been replaced or formatted rather than some catastrophic problem.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
