Hardware I hate 3DS...

Once i got my 3DS XL the first thing what i did (after i got MK7) is tried the online.
How was it? Bad, the reason is that i was getting Communication error and i still do have them.
Asked ISP to change my modem but it still didn't work.
I had Zyxel and atm i have Billion. I have ridiculous long login time(login to Nintendo Network) and the connection seems to cut off(?) when i play.
People said its cause of the Modem so i thought to buy 1 but i don't know which one to get so I want to ask you guys which modem works with the 3DS.

Double check things go to a friends house or any free wifi spot and try could be a faulty 3ds

my modem is Thomson TG508 and the network never failed to me.

If you got a satellite internet service, you got uber latency issues.

If you got dail up, you got bandwith issues period. (Yes, they do make routers for dail up, they do exist.)

If you got DSL, you likely got screwed on the upstream.

If you got cable, you likely screwed up configuring the router.

If you got fiber, you likely screwed up configuring the router.

I had a miniMotorola one... I don't the model, and the Wi-Fi went perfect... then... I had to change it, after that, with this mode (ARRIS) the Wi-Fi signal go too bad :S I got a poor signal in the next room... so, it's probably that your moden is the problem

Never just assume its the modem or connection verify with other connections first so you don't waste money

That doesn't sound like the 3DS's fault, that sounds more like you have crappy internet.

Tried it on with friends D-Link modem, it works fine. I played over 20 races with no communication error.

Ohh and i tested the speed with speedtest on the Wii, it says 2 Mb/s but on the 3DS (Mobilespeedtest.com) it says 1 Mb/s.
Do you know the reason why?

That really sounds like crappy internet service, rather than 3DS being crappy.

57 ms ping time is rather big.

Looks like a latency issue with the service. Upstream is kinda low as well.

Yeah but why would Wii work fine. I do have lags in games like Tatsunoko VS Capcom and SSBB but no dc.
And Wii says that my ping is 96.

Yeah, looks more like it's you're internet that is the problem rather than the 3DS.

That mostly depends on what online features you are using. We can't tell you without knowing what kinda of online features you are using to tell you if it is doing the same on the 3DS or not.

Well for one ur internet is garbage 96 ping is not good answer me this where your Wii is hooked up is your router close to your Wii?

Did you download the MK7 online patch on the eshop?

EDIT: Even if you have downloaded it before on your old 3DS, you will have to download it again since the patch is installed in the console not the cart
