Hi, I'm discovering the joys of owning a Wii in the year of 2026. Better late than never. Been playing the NTSC Virtual Console version of Star Fox 64 a bunch, and there's this annoying audio distortion that's hard to ignore throughout the game, like the audio is crackling. It's most noticable in the end credits. This video I found on youtube shows it off as well, so I know the issue isn't just on my end: (45:56 in case the timestamp doesn't work) I was surprised how nobody online seems to have discussed this over the years. Has anyone else noticed this or similar issues on other n64 VC releases? Is the cause known? Out of curiosity, I did try the PAL Lylat Wars release, and the audio was perfectly fine in that one.

error ret = -1 want to install but I get that instead. i heard this is what i need to play other m any help would be cool

Error 1:
Wad Install Error Most likely have a cIOS installed incorrectly, out of date, or missing. If a file was needed, then it was not in the correct folder. If you are using cios38rev14 installer, put ios38-64-3610.wad file in the root of the SD card. Each programm needs its files in specific folders, so pay attention to that. Can also be a bad wad or not enough space on the Wii. Possibly formatted the SD card incorrectly.

i put it in the app folder via the instructions it came with. I do not see a wad file only a dol. this is cIOSX_rev 20 and trying to install to IOS57 v5918. my current IOS36 v3351. where an i find the wad file cus it did not come with one.
