Are you on 2.1 or 11.2?

the backup i have is the one i get in the guide u showed me now im gonna see if i can restore from hourglass
i did what the guide said but i got into section 3 part 7 and my 3ds still doesnt work

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

it doesnt even turn on,it just turn the blue light for like just 1 second and off
So you booted into the ctrtransfer, rebooted, and it still doesnt work? What happens when you boot with the SD card removed?

Without the sd card it's supposed to not turn on, since it cant find arm9loaderhax.bin. did you make a nand backup of 11.2 like you were supposed to?

Hi, im also having problems with my new 3dsxl after doing the 3dsguide.
After having a rought time following the guide because ive overlooked a step and then after that made a stupid decision by uptading the firmware whith a game card, but, that was past, and now i finally completed the guide and have luma and a9lh installed, along whith fbi and luma updater.

But i think that something is wrong, because i cant install any cia i got from the other site, fbi fails everytime when i try to install a cia.

And when i open luma updater and i choose to install normal version, after the install e choose to reboot and it goes to black screen.

If i power-it off and remove the sd card and turn-it on it loads but whitout fbi, homebrew or luma updater, but as soon i insert the sd card those apps appear.
Should i re-do the guide again by restoring the backup nand firmware, or there is a solution for this.
Is there other app to install cias (legit or not) on my 3ds?
Thanks

Sounds like OP didn't set up the CTR NAND side of Luma3DS(the part that allows you to boot without the SD card).
Did you do this part?

  1. Navigate to arm9loaderhax.bin, then press (A) on it and select the “Copy” option
  2. Return to the FBI main menu with (B)
  3. Select “CTR NAND”
  4. Select “<current directory>”
  5. Select the “Paste” option, then press (A) to confirm
  6. Exit with the home button
AND
  1. Press (Start) to reboot with the SD card removed
    • Booting the device at least once with the SD card removed will allow you to configure the CTRNAND based luma installation
  2. Use the (A) button and the D-Pad to turn on the following:
    • “Show NAND or user string in System Settings”
  3. If you are using a New 3DS, you should also enable the following:
    • “New 3DS CPU” to “Clock+L2(x)”
    • This will increase the framerate of many games, but may cause instability in others
    • If some games do not work properly, disable this option and try again
  4. Reinsert your SD card, then press Start to save and reboot!

im an idiot then , bro im really regreting about all this but i need to know what to do please ! cant just i download a backup 11.2 from someone or idk please help
If you made a backup while you were on 11.2, just restore that using hourglass9. The 9.2.0 ctrtransfer is just for idiots who never made a backup.

No because using another person's NAND backup will brick your system.

No ever 3ds is different you can only load your own backup nand.

From my understanding is you follow the guide to a T and your on 2.1 trying to boot it up so you can get the opt.bin correct??

And its not booting up. Either black screen with lights or boot and shut down?

Did you do this (taken from the guide)

"
  1. Delete the 2.1.0 ctrtransfer image .bin and .bin.sha from the /files9/ folder on your SD card
  2. Press (Start) to reboot without reinserting your SD card
    • While on 2.1.0, the device will black screen on boot if your SD card is inserted before the home menu loads
  3. Reinsert your SD card into your 3DS after the home menu loads
    • Every time the device is rebooted on 2.1.0, you will need to take out your SD card before boot and put it back in after the home menu loads
    • This will be fixed once you restore your device in the next page
    "
The initial boot of 2.1.0 can take slightly longer than a standard boot on some devices.
try that and see it if works

have you remove the .bin from the /file9 folder?

then boot the 3ds and leave it on the black screen for 5mins. Get a timer

Disregard this step. This is only for people without a9lh on 2.1 you need to follow the 9.2 ctrnand transfer linked earlier.

Havent found put anyway to get out of this problem?
