Do you have a legit DS VC game? Then you can install Haxchi. https://gbatemp.net/threads/haxchi-v2-0-a-persistent-wiiu-hack.451071/
You can also choose to do Coldboot Haxchi, but that's dangerous.

Yes, it needs a legit DS VC game you bought from the eShop to let the Wii U allow to boot Haxchi.

I also have a lot of trouble with getting the standard method to work on my Wii U(5.5.1E). I tried 3 different SD-Card's, one of which is a new class 10 64GB card. Tried with 32k and 64k cluster formats with fat32format. I put the HBC on the SD card in root/wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/. Everytime when I go to wiiubru, loadiine or any other site from the huge list in the sticky, I get the following error: Could not load the video. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Your router might have a built in exploit scanner that's blocking the exploit from being loaded. My ASUS router does, and I had to disable it.
