sorry didnt see second page thought noone was posting only three people like acecard2 lol

Didn't the poll initially say DSTT instead of AK2? That's pretty silly to change the poll in the middle and expect it to reflect anything meaningful, particularly since nobody can change their votes. Also, the three votes that are there may have actually been for the DSTT.

QUOTE(Destructobot @ Jul 23 2008, 06:37 PM) I've used the Acekard 2, the CycloDS Evolution and the Supercard DS1, and the Evolution is by far the best of the three. The AK2 has a really nice menu, but it doesn't have great support from its makers (they're mostly leaving it up to homebrewers to add features) and it is less tolerant of slow memory cards. The SCDS1 has lots of neat-o features, but its interface really blows. The Evolution has a fairly good interface, and nearly all of the special features that the SCDS1 has.

Actually, the Acekard team recently released a beta version of the upcoming firmware which fixes speed problems with slower microSD cards. That said, many (most?) other carts have problems with slower microSD cards, including the CycloDS if I'm not mistaken. Otherwise, the Acekard team releases compatibility updates to the firmware pretty much as often as most other carts. You're talking about adding significant features such as RTS and slow-motion, which few carts in this price range have. The fact that they've made the source code for their menu system available to developers who might want to add these types of features is fairly significant.

The SCDS1 has plenty of features, but they're difficult to use due to the menu. For the vast majority of users (who don't use slow-motion or RTS), it would make more sense for the Supercard team to fix the problems with the menu than to keep adding features.

so scds1 or cyclowiz?
Since you're new to the DS flash card scene, I'd say go for the Cyclo. It's much more user friendly, whereas you'd tear your hair out if you got the Supercard.

Although it's true that the Cyclo is much more user friendly, but the SCDS1 wasn't that bad.... It was my first flashkart, and I managed to get it working, and I never really had any major problems.

Still, Cyclo has a much better User friendly GUI.

The only relevant question is: do you want to pay $15-$20 for a 4GB card, or $40-$50 for 8GB?

Also, stop editing your poll. We can't vote in it again, and it seems to have leftover votes from before you edited it. If you really need a poll (hint: you don't) you'll need to start a fresh one or the results won't tell you anything.
