You are better off sell it and get either 3.41 or 3.55. They are jailbreakable. It can be found at any pawn stores. Just ask them and check the system firmware to see if it is 3.41 or 3.55. Thats what I did in the past.

You need a progskeet or a teensy++2.0
An old style NAND 360clip not the newer NAND uniclip
Not the e3 flasher as that's for nor consoles and yours is the much harder NAND

Send your PS3 to a modding service. There's a couple on here, you just have to look. You could buy an E3 flasher and mod it yourself, but it sounds like you probably won't be able to use it. The only way for you to install CFW on your console (which I assume is what you're trying to do? People don't really talk about "jailbreaking" PS3s anymore) then you'll have to downgrade it, which is only possible by either using an E3 flasher yourself or sending your PS3 to someone who can do it for you.

It's not that simple
For starters if you put your HDD in another PS3 then that PS3 will reformat the HDD and encrypt it to its own per console key
The HDD also is not in a readable format from a PC without using a special tool and getting your eeid key from your console to un-encrypt it
The nor (in your case) needs patching to allow cfw to be installed
This is done via a tsop programmer
E3 flasher teensy++2.0 progskeet (in your case)
Or simply take it to a downgrader to have it done for you at a cost
