Hacking I am new to CFW.

I have followed 3ds.guide and I have fbi installed but when I go to install some cias it will say “download failed”. This happens with all games and some applications. I made sure that the games were in the .cia file type. Any tips?

How are you trying to install them in FBI? The program doesn't download .CIAs so it shouldn't throw that error. It installs the archives from an SD directory.
Are you using the .3dsx app or the homemenu version? If it's the latter you've already installed some .CIAs since the guide has you install like 4 of them including FBI.

Walk me through your process. You should be able to just put the .CIA files on your SD card, open FBI, go to SD, find the .CIA file on your SD card, press "A" and choose "install"...... There is no downloading involved.

Unless you mean you're trying to install programs from TitleDB inside FBI. In that case, check your network connection. FBI shows if you're connected to the internet or not, if you're not the list will fail to populate or download any apps.

I got it to work. It just doesn’t work when I download from Google Drive for some reason. I have to download it from Mega.

That has absolutely nothing to do with FBI.......

I download the .cia file, put it on my SD card and then download the application or game through FBI

No, you INSTALL the application or game through FBI. Gdrive or Mega have NOTHING to do with FBI, that's where you got your .CIAs from. GDrive not letting you download .CIAs has nothing to do with the program you use to install them. You're confused.
