I saw it in the food store. For an example.. Cod Fish is 7.99 Euro is 1 kg.. meaning? How much?

for 1 kg of fish you buy it for 7.99

so 2kg would be 15.98 euro

1.5kg would be 11.985 euro or 11.99

1 kg.. meaning? How much?

It means "mass equall to the mass of the "International Prototype Kilogram" weight".

(The International Prototype Kilogram (informally Le Grand K or IPK) is a platinum alloy cylinder manufactured in 1889, and carefully stored in Saint-Cloud, a suburb of Paris. The prototype is manufactured from a platinum–iridium alloy and is 39.17 mm in both diameter and height, its edges have a four-angle (22.5°, 45°, 67.5° and 79°) chamfer to minimize wear.)

But as of 2019 and onward, it will be defined via fundamental universal constants and not a physical etalon so the meaning will alter.

And a kilo of codfish will be 15 euro then, due to inflation.

Could never be as bad as it is here, where they sell stuff in 960ml containers, or 900 grams, just so it's close enough to a litre or a kilo, but not since they're using imperial rounded to lower values to save money (and basically make us believe we get a kilo).

They have those here as well, it's not so much rounding down from imperial units as much as something called shrinkflation. They reduce the package size little by little while keeping the price the same.

Would be a funny joke if you were American.
Well, last I read he lived or does in US so that'd make him officially an American by nationality. To be honest, I don't get what's confusing about it.

Of course, since he used EUR in this thread, he's either in Portugal or the Portuguese Islands where the EUR currency is used because it's a country currently within the EU organization.

I was watching a video about that just a few day ago. I was having a hard time dealing with the idea of a universal constant changing lol

Their bios lists Portugal and says “
Male, from Proud to be Portuguese 100%!
I am proud to be Portuguese !!!“.

On the desktop version of the site its displayed by default while on the mobile version you have to click on their name.

"Their" has had that before for ages, but he is Portuguese. I have the flag of Sweden but do I live in Sweden?

Don't really understand the point of this conversation over a joke based on the information presented to me in the OP (i.e. the nationality they identify themselves as and their likely location (at a minimum the EU (exceptions aside))).

Also, don't understand why you had to quote "Their" since I was referring to the OPs biography which we are both discussing.

Because you keep calling him as a "their" when he's a single person, not multiple.

Also, "nationality they identify"? Dude, you're hilarious! :rofl2:

You can always hold up how much money you are willing to spend and point to the fish you want. This is the way I do it.

I used the word 'their' because it can be used to refer to single individual and it was possessive i.e. their bio.

https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/their

I used that specific phrase in regards to their nationality because that's how they're listing themselves on the site despite YOU claiming they may be American, although perhaps 'lists themselves as' could have been an alternative phrasing.
