For 70 dollars which is around 56euro I think I could get a try, it even has 8ft 2,5mt. cable, does it also support "roms" or just cartridges?

I'll wait for the N64 mini, if those are hacked as easily as the first two and are backwards compatible as well, that would be a pretty nice collection from NES to N64.
From Gamecube to Wii U I have a Wii U and then finally there will be two devices to rule them all.

Hyperkin announced N64 related products years ago, then there was recently a leaked proto portable n64.. but alas still no release of N64 thirdparty hardware yet.

Zzzzz

@KiiWii Regarding N64 emulation there was never a definitive solution as far as I know.
Always different plugins for different kinds of games and even compatibility problems with official N64 emulators, hopefully one will be able to play Conker's Bad Fur Day heist with four players on the N64 mini then it will be perfect.

I can guarantee all of you that a Raspberry Pi 3 will leave you far more satisfied than these terrible emulator consoles.

After several tests, I have determined that the Raspberry Pi performs the same as the SNES classic. Seriously, invest in a Raspberry Pi. It's cheaper.

I've had three retron 3s and two retron 5s. they all failed from merely touching them. I complained to hyperkin, but I never got a response. I read that other people had similar issues. one person even mentioned contacting hyperkin about his failed unit only to get a response nearly a year later. crap company, crap products.

get higan/bsnes instead. Or an actual SNES.

who wants a tiny fake SNES when you can get a real full-sized one or savestates?

Why buying and hacking one of the mini consoles which have limited space for games when you have a Wii U?
Play old console games with RetroArch, N64 via VC inject or the N64 emulator for the (v)Wii, WiiWare, Wii and GC games through USB Loadee GX + Nintendont (vWii) and Wii U games via Loadiine or WUP Installer.

Another clone system that will have stolen emulator code from Snes9x? :creep: I bet the RetroArch and Snes9x devs will be thrilled.

Nah, getting an Analogue Super NT, that's just as accurate as Higan on a hardware level; real Snes hardware looks like shite on HDTVs.

Isn't this a clone console and not a emulator? I thought the only Hyperkin console that used emulation was the Retron5

Clones often use emulators running on Android, very few use FPGAs and these are no exception. They've stolen noncommercial code and pass it off as their own.

Cyber Gadget Retro Freak
Retron5
RetoBit
This device

All use the same stolen code

Edit: I should note these teams are supposed to be correcting these issues in the code

isn't this a glorified android powered snes9x emulator? cannot they use higan instead?

how about SNES classic?

I think is okay but i feel like is a downgrade. Only SNES games? The retron 5 played NES/Famicom Genesis/Megadrive SNES/SFC and Gameboy/GBA games, and had wireless controller (Though I was told it wasn't that good) Still I would have prefer a wireless option, or least allow any wireless bluetooth controller to be used like wii u pro or something.

I do like the option for switching screen size, i always play my games in full screen, (i hope it has filter options too) But is there a reason why it can't go to 1080P, just 720P? Excuse me if i don't understand, I'm not a video expert but I would really like to know. One thing I can say is that is nice to have av output, but I hope this works properly, retron 5 has issues with those anti piracy game carts. I would wonder if they reveal the inner workings of it, reproduction hardware or software emulation.

I assume there is some advantage to using USB right? Is it that it consume less power or that the system has a service menu that can be used by PC connection? So just like other usb systems like nes/snes classic, is gonna get a mod somehow right? (Though since it runs on carts not roms stored on storage, maybe not) You still advised to use a actual AC outlet rather than a usb port on another device to power the system to ensure it is enough power. (Kinda shocked is not usb c but that isn't relevant right now)

I could see this being nice for people who still have carts. Even better if it had stuff like built in video filters, game genie codes, or other enhancements, especially on the fly game patching with ips and even backup save data to system rather than use battery backup on cart. :)

im still waiting for the console that can read n64 cartriges, and yeah i want to use the cartriges even if its an emulator dumping and playing them.

Or you can install CFW on your PS3. SNES plays really well and you get a lot more than the Retron.
