What is the deal about this Chronicles X game... Geeez.... Imma have to download it and play it myself because i keep reading things about this game and iv never seen it b4, not even a video or a pic
Yes, you should download it, it's available on the eshop.

Pro-tip: you can check these amazing new websites Google.com or YouTube.com if you want to see what the game looks like.

Dude are you fucking serious?
Lmao. I wasn't even gna touch it.

In a mild effort to get back on topic. My Wii u will not accept discs. Discovered this yesterday after finally deciding to buy xenoblade.
However I am able to play games from the eshop.
You guys think this will matter at all as far as using hykems new exploit and running back ups once everything is released?

It shouldn't. It's not like we're going to be burning Blu-Rays like we had to burn DVDs for the first Wii loaders... If drives aren't tied to the specific console, you should be able to easily replace the drive if it does interfere with the exploit or other things.

Yeah that's my thought as well. I was just thinking that back for the ps3 you had to have the blu Ray drive working in order to play back ups. Iirc.. But since I can play eshop games I'm sure we'll be able to use nusgrabber and download full games and install them as long as signatures are patched.

Unfortunately I'm on 5.5, but I was hoping it might be possible, or even replace it with a Zelda soundtrack. Good to know. I'll put the game on hold for now then.
I'm sure the IOSU exploit will make it possible to install a sort of Gecko OS to be able to connect to TCP Gecko dNET. Then I can write a quick guide how to turn off the music in a game if i haven't made a tutorial until then

I imagine assuming we can get emunand working we could implement something like (s)neek from Wii days which simulates a disk being put into the console from the home menu

So as long as everything goes as planned we could use NUSGrabber and download full titles and be able to install them once this is all released right?
Just seeing if it would be worth getting some things downloaded while I wait for the release.

On the 3DS side of gbatemp:

3DS 10.3 EmuNAND: "Gimme emunand now

Ha, thanks for that. I didn't even notice the latest GW update since not much has been going on in that scene for me (Sidebar: Mods used to post this kind of stuff in the news section of the site, why hasn't this been??). Good news, hopefully they offer some type of option for us on 9.2 sysNAND to get to 10.3 sysNAND.

Annnnd back to Wii U blathering by the lot of you...

No, nobody has scanned and patched the security checks yet, so we won't be able to do this for probably a few days minimum after release... unless Hykem has already found them and releases it as an extra bonus on launch so we can install a homebrew channel xP

Yeh, N3DS fans wanting 9.2 emNand support earlier this year were SO SO impatient, me being one of the few patient ones
Waiting till mid January for Wii U exploit is so much easier for a lot of us now that we have it confirmed before February and considering we haven't waited that long :D

Do you mean 9.6+ emuNAND? I hear ya though, I had spoofed eShop working fine so I was in no rush for latest emuNAND support either.

WiiU IOSU will definitely be awesome once the other devs here can use it for their own means, but it sounds like Hykem is already getting emuNAND and possible HB Channel working on launch which is a huge plus for everyone. Also not impatient for IOSU either since Loadiine is working fine for now, but would be nice to get all these WUD's on an external USB HDD along with my vWii games/emuNAND, etc.

I just really REALLY hope someone ports xbmc "now named kodi" to the wiiu. It would be the best media center to date.

I just hope TCP Gecko will quickly be updated to work with the exploit. I don't care about modding or anything, I just want to use it for infinite rupees in Hyrule Warriors. I'm being serious, I can't stand farming rupees. I guess something like XBMC would be cool but yeah... I'd like an unlimited supply of glorious rupees.
