I think it's because we generally allow people to talk about flashcard team's products, this was allowed for a while.
When it sunk in this is basically just direct downloading of warez, the staff kinda woke up.

We already removed a thread about it. Then there was another thread about it (I was asleep) and then, yeah we decided to nuke the new thread since, well we don't allow linking to piracy sites. This is the very definition of paid piracy.

the large thread had the link removed and I didn't see it posted again there, I know a second smaller one popped up which was locked

Yes. If the name is unique enough, and/or also the website name, and piracy is involved, you can't talk about it. Remember how Pragma's thread regarding the hashes of safe SSBU releases was removed because he mentioned release groups whose names were also their websites?
