Fuck off.
Instead of telling someone to "fuck off", it's more productive to 1. Remind someone to stay on topic OR 2. Report them to the mods.

Each post has an option underneath it to report it to the mods. Just leave a short message "off-topic" etc.

I will not buy a Switch. At least not now. Here is why:

It will take a long time until the end user will be able to do and play cool stuff with the Switch. I want a N64, Dreamcast and Gamecube emulator. N64 will perhaps happen within a year or two. But it is not even sure Gamecube will happen. Why you might wonder?

The Switch userbase is a 1/3 of what the PSViTA and Wii U, (5 million compared to around 15 million) at least if this only will be compatible up to 3.0.0. There will be no scene like the Wii, psp or NDS. Those systems sold like 80-150 million. There are too few people involved in the Switch scene. Trust me on this.

As long as I can *&$#!% games I'll be happy. Emulators would be nice, but I probably wouldn't bother. I've got an HTPC with all those emus.

PS2 wont run only if you can overclock the cpu
Gamecube games are more graphically intensive than PS2, so if we're assuming it can run GCN (not saying it can) then it will handle PS2 just fine.

Also, people throw around the term "overclock" way too much.

people was reporting that the switch is running the same cpu as the nvidia shield tv just lower clocked , now the shield cant play ps2 up to 20 fps but plays wii games just fine which are more graphic intense then PS2 games

PS2 is weaker in legit every way. People say it's "hard to emulate" and they're full of shit. My crap PC ran it a hell of a lot better than said PC ran Dolphin. I know there are more variables that go into that, but seriously...

They also throw around the phrase "PS2 is hard to emulate!~ ERHMAGHERD" too much. It's BS.

This sounds more like an issue with emulator optimization than with cpu power

still an HTPC you cant take with you

Actually, it's a Gigabyte BRIX projector so I could. :D I get your point though. It's just that I don't find the Switch to be convenient to take on the go so it pretty much stays in the dock. The portable aspect of the Switch just doesn't appeal to me. Besides, the lack of a d-pad means no thank you. I've got a smart phone that's a good enough time killer.

IMO a portable console should fit in your pocket. I have had the switch since day 1, and it's never left my house.

I love how opinions differ. I mean this sincerely. I find it fascinating. I only really play mine in handheld mode, exclusively. And I LOVE the "Dpad" on the Switch. I was hoping the Vita would have one like it when it first released.

Because co-pilot doesnt even show up on my pc. Not in the taskbar, not in the start menu search, and the option in settings to turn it on and off in the taskbar is not even displayed.

Well, I complain about Microsoft all the time. You seem to enjoy it, no offense. If you like using Windows, that's fine by me.

Tired of the entire "BUT BUT BUT WINDOWZ SPYWARE!!!" thing too, when the same people give out tons of their personal info to plenty of other companies but say nothing about it.

@RedColoredStars, Companies do the exact same thing with other companies as well, so it's not just Microsoft. There are 3rd-parties like 'data brokers'.

I'm 52 years old and one of my jobs in life was marketing research. Im well aware. I've been online for around 30 years. Everyone and their grandmother already has my personal information. One more having my email address isn't ruining my life or even effecting me in any way whatsoever.

Fake name, address and payment info for internet service, etc? lol. Ill say it again. Everyone freaks out about OMG WINDOWS!! But crickets on anything else they do.
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
Other windows stuff people complain about hypocritically too. Like "But but but Windows bundle junk apps!!!!" Yeah?? So do many Linux distributions. Dont like it? Use one without them. Same with windows. Either find a pre-made version without the bundled stuff, or very easily make your own installer with what you want and do not want.
