Hardware Hp Mini - No Display

Ok so i was about to plug in my headphones into my hp-mini (laptop).....and well, i missed the headphone out and sorta jammed it (not that hard) into the usb port.....

at the same time the screen went blank

I tried everything i knew to turn off (yeah it's still on) the laptop but it's not responding to anything. Now i'm just waiting for the battery to die out and hope it'll power-on normally after and everything will be all jolly. I'm a bit worried though as it's not really my laptop (it's my brother's) and i don't want him to find out what i did. Screen still blank and everything i do isn't getting any response.
Help...me.......please

also you can hold the power button down and after 4 secs it should shut off instantly

yeah.....i tried that, it didn't work.



Well i left it overnight and it seems the wi-fi light and the power light have drained the battery. I put it to charge and turn it on and now it works like a charm.

LOL. Yes, this. Although, to be fair, the kid was probably panicking and logic never prevails when the mind is in a state of panic.

also some netbooks dont have a removable battery, (makes em smaller, lighter, and cheaper to make, ect...) have no idea if the hp mini has one
