How's the switch 2 holding up as a tablet?

Okay...perhaps a weird one, but I have to ask...

I've seen a regular switch. The screen is okay for handheld gaming, but it always seemed tiny to use the touchscreen for anything mouse based/touchscreen (think virtual tabletops or things like civilization).

The switch 2 got a noticeable screen size update (6.2 inch to 7.9 inch), which puts it...the best I can presume is "okay'ish tablet size" (unless I'm mistaken, my old but trusty nvidia shield tablet was 8 inch diameter).

I get that everyone and their dog is now playing mario kart world, but even so I want to know...can you just throw out the controllers, whip up a browser and browse away?
And more to the point: virtual tabletop games. The original switch had (and by extension: are available on switch 2) a good bunch of those. Catan, carcassonne, root...Probably a bunch of RTS'es as well, but I'm not talking about the mouse mode just yet. In any case: games that are most intuitively played in handheld mode.

Can anyone confirm or deny (from anything but hypothese) that these are more comfortable in handheld mode than on switch 1?

The internet browser is deeply buried and no one is using it. I don't even know if it's capable of browser games or if it's stunted.

Definitely can't do that no. The browser was purposefully made extremely barebones for security and well... its not designed for much else.

As of now, it's not great. As a tablet, you would get more use out of a hacked $80 Kindle Fire 10.

The browser is slow and has issues with most sites. There is also no YouTube app yet. O365 kept crashing whenever I would try to open any app.
This is on 20.1.1. I would update to .5 and try, but I'm anal about going online now because so many of us Mig users are getting banned.

No media player, no browser (unless you access via a DNS address), but as a gaming tablet it's really good (except the battery of course).

If it was an Xbox handheld it'd definitely have a media player app and I'm not talking about the built-in app, rather Kodi instead. I was surprised Kodi was available straight from the Xbox store on the Xbox One store (so it's not a "piracy" app).
