Somehow my upload speed is over twice as fast as my download speed, so while downloading a 1GB file I'll have already uploaded 2.5 GBs, and I'll only be half done.

Is there any way I can stop uTorrent from seeding while I download, or at least slow it down?

Thanks.

EVERYONE STOP. HE OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T GET BITTORRENT.

You see, Bittorrent rewards seeders: the longer and faster you seed, the more your client tells other seeders to send packets to you. (Read: The more you share, the more others share)
Click options, preferences, then bandwidth. Change the maximum upload speed to 5 or 10 kbs to dramatically slow down the uploads. I found that 5 or 10 works best, but you can mess with it to see what works best for you. You cannot stop it entirely. I have tried everything.
