Ok, its been a long time since i messed with my psp 1000 its on cfw 5.00 m33-6. So I am looking for some help on whats the newest cfw out there to upload on it and can i do it "without" a Pandora battery... i have no idea were mines at I may have loaned it to a friend and never got it back :( I'm asking because i started to play FF8 psx rip and it freezes and all the fixes i found need updated cfw.
You can do it without pandora, the first post has all the info.

Probably been asked already. But if my Go has 6.60 on it can I use to 6.60 Pro-C hack without too much trouble? Also can I still access PS store on it after I do this?

You can use PRo-C, just not the permanent patch.

And yes you can access PSN.

Yes; you just can't do it on perma-CFW mode if I understand it correctly at this time. Further, even 6.20 ProC can access the PSN just fine. I'll admit that I haven't got much off the PSN via the PSP Go, but at least it didn't seem like I'd have a problem accessing anything in particular.

I just wish Sony would offer Steam-level sales and discounts for all for pay content on the PSN store. But wishing for something like that from any of the console companies is like wishing for the ability to download a car.

Excuse me but this is my first time posting. I recently hacked my psp 3000 using the 6.60 C temporary hack but randomly while I'm playing or doing anything really my screen goes black but the game is still going on in the background with music and everything. Is there anyways to fix this? I've tried holding the screen brightness button, exiting out of the homebrew, reinstalling the CFW even with the latest update, and turning my psp off and on. It doesn't seem to do this while on official firmware. Have I installed it wrong? I've looked everywhere but no one else has had this problem. Even a friend of mine hacked his psp 3000 straight out of the box and never had this happen.

What's in the /seplugins/ folder on the memory stick?

Hm, no plugins then.

Check the PSP's sleep/whatever settings in the main menus, see if changing some of those changes how long it takes for this issue to happen or something.
I checked and they're all off turned them on one by one and it didn't seem to have any effect. Could it be that the screen is damaged? The screen just turned off while it was on the OFW or can installing the hack have an effect while its not on CFW?

When you uninstall and you're not in hacked mode it won't have an effect, sounds like an issue with the PSP itself.
I guess I'll have to buy an new one. My psp is kinda dog eared, no pun intended :P and love your Avatar pic btw, I suppose I could get a psp go. Sorry to have bothered you over nothing that had to do with CFW.

OK one last question before I soft mode my go. If I have a clean install of 6.60 official firmware on my Go do I need to downgrade too 6.20 to install the 6.20 Pro-C mode firmware?
