Hacking How to Set up DStwo plus

I just bought a dstwo plus and i am having a bit of difficulty setting up and I am completely new to this. I am using a nintendo 3ds on version 9.2 and i will be only playing ds games, not 3ds games. I downloaded the _dstwo file and extracted it and put it onto the root of my sd card and i also did the same with the DSTWO PLUS Gateway Plugin. So the root of my sd card has _dstwo, _dstwoplug and Launcher.dat. I am pretty sure i don't need the Launcher.dat file as i will not be playind 3ds games, however i am not sure. When i put it into the 3ds, it says there is no game slot in there. I am downloading the wrong files or is the card just defective?

You need to format your microSD card that goes into the DS2+ to fat32. Launcher.dat goes into your big SD card but only with GW v3.4.1 and higher version will brick your console.

3DS games don't have to be in fat32 but its better for fat32 so it can load the DS2+ plugins.

Also when you first run your DS2+ it will ask to update your firmware for the card, if the progress stops or freeze do not power down, just close the lid and reopen to get it moving again. It shouldn't take more then a minute.

If you only want to play DS games with the dstwo plus, the files on the root of your microsd should be "_dstwo" and several NDS roms, no need the _dstwoplug and Launcher.dat.
So just try to format your microsd card and then put the correct files on it.
