How to run android as an os for pc?

    My acer 1 came with android 2.1 and windows installed the android OS ran perfectly
    So i was wondering if there would be any way to install the latest android OS onto a usb or onto my HDD

    there is some thing called andriod live works great .
    look around there will be a few .

    Wow i google android live and first result is an official google website with links to a live cd
    unfortunately they haven't updated since Aug 21, 2009
    oh well back to google

    i just finished downloading ice cream sandwich from android-x86.org

    The tutorial looks great ill definitely read it thoroughly so i dont stuff anything up

    You can try a windows application called "youwave", its basically android for windows, it works pretty nicely ;)

    Be sure to backup anything that needs backing up as your data may get erased no matter what you do, some guides forget to mention that.
