I just downgraded my 3DS to 4.2 but I'm still receiving the System Update Notification that I previously had when I was at 9.2. I've tried finding solutions to this, but I can't for some reason. Can anyone give me a simplified explanation on how to remove it? Thanks.

Apparently, accessing the Recovery Mode menu will delete the stored update data?

Worked for me too.. Just closed the menu without running it, cleared the data fine. Nothing else lost.
