already did that and replaced the AGB_FIRM but I still cant play

I've had trouble with the VC Ambassador titles. I'd recommend grabbing the huge pack off of the ISO site and install them instead and forget the VC titles.

You also have to install them in sysNAND mode and run them from sysNAND mode. They won't work after booting your unit up without running a CFW or GW mode. If you want them in emuNAND, you need to install in sysNAND and emuNAND to play.

Typically, invalid CIA shouldn't be installed to sysNAND, but if you want GBA support then it is required to install the AGB_FIRM and any games you want to sysNAND.

I tried launching gateway sysnand mode and installed a game but I just got a black screen and now it dosent even display the game

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I actually installed agb_firm in emunand but the location you choose in the fbi installer is the nand so I don't know if that affects anything

Then you missed a step. There's a title ID that needs uninstalled from sysNAND before agb_firm can be installed. Read over that guide again.

yeah I did it if I didn't did that the file wouldn't even installed

Did you patch agb_firm with the exe patcher? Something isn't right. Everything in the guide works for others so it's either the agb_firm you installed, or the CIA's are bad, or where you're installing them (sysNAND vs. emuNAND).

It never worked before I started the gba VC .cias through PastaCFW.
(and I had uninstalled and reinstalled the patched agb_firm)

okay did all again and it didn't worked so what I did is this I downloaded this 0004013820000202 v4816. from 3dnus and patched it with the agb_firm patcher for new 3ds then I went to the fbi installer and installed the patched one I had to delete the one with the same id with the new patched so I installed the new one then I open bigbluemenu and install my game in sysnand and it doesn't work did I did something wrong there

Are you running a cfw that specifically allows gba stuff? Otherwise it wont work, even with patched agb_firm installed.

well rxtools doesnt work on n3ds consoles, so go with pasta, but you would need a copy of CN to use it retail or sky3DS only as you cant run pasta from within gateway mode

I believe Reinand supports GBA games also, so Pasta and Reinand are the two ways of running GBA games.
Soon the "Permanent" Ninjhax epxloit is gonna be released by Smealum and it'll be so much easier to boot Pasta CFW.
