Hacking How To Install HBL

I have LUMA Installed and GODMODE - but i need to get FBI and HBL installed.

Things I have tried ->
1) Boot device while holding start - takes me to GODMODE - do not have an option to SysNand Backup/Restore (was going to try to inject FBI with H&S)
2) Boot download play - press L + Down + Select, select misc options, select switch the hb, title to the current app, close Download Play - on relaunch throws an Exception occured error

What options do I have at this stage to get HBL and FBI installed?

System Settings show Ver. 11.7.0-40U (I KNOW it was lower than this as I used the soundhax to get HBL, should I do a factory reset to the 3DS and start at square one?)

factory reset WONT get rid of cfw. ever. On your sd card root. Do you see a boot.3dsx?

On root of SD CARD I have
1) boot.3dsx
2) boot.firm
3) otherapp.bin
4) soundhax-usa-o3ds-post5.0.m4a

I tried to open up sound and play the .m4a file - but I think since my system was updated to 11.7 the soundhax exploit was patched in 11.2 and I would need another entry point. That is what I was (poorly) attempting to ask to when I asked about a factory reset, would it drop the firmware version to a soundhax exploitable version as it once was?

Nope. firmware does not get touched during a factory reset. As you have rosalina installed you cannot use *hax entry points as it is or the system will spit errors at you.

Nope. firmware does not get touched during a factory reset. As you have rosalina installed you cannot use *hax entry points as it is or the system will spit errors at you.

Are you updated to the latest firmware, and do you have boot.3dsx on your SD card? Freshly downloaded from the guide, not one you had already.

Just downloaded all files again and copied to SD Card and when I try to launch Download Play again I get an exception occurred
Processor: ARM11 (core 1)
Exception type: data abort
Fault status: Translation - Section
Current process: rosalina

Do you have a region changed console? Sounds like there's something strange with your setup, but anyway you should be able to just inject FBI into health and safety so you don't need to worry about it.

Yes - I was able to inject FBI into my H&S - how will I set-up free shop now that I have access to FBI?

I just followed the guide, but when I luanch freeshop I get an error screen showing an exception occured.

That's weird... What happens if you download and install a game with FBI? Can you play it?

If someone doesn't have a better suggestion my advice would be to make a NAND backup (https://3ds.guide/godmode9-usage), then do a CTR transfer (https://3ds.guide/ctrtransfer) and try finalizing-setup again.
