no it will not work , cIOS must be installed before updating via Wanin 4.0 updater or FireIce 4.0 updater

Everytime i go to AnyTitleDelete i get Error =-1017

i have cios36 rev8 installed after that i installed wanin 4.0 updater. Now if i wanna update it to rev9, do I have to use cios uninstaller to remove rev8 before installing rev 9? Thanks.

Just installed cIOS36_rev9-Installer_2 through SD card method.

How can i see it installed correctly or enter the custom OS ?
Sorry havent catched up with things since release of 3.2E firmware (which im still on)

Internet Install :
1- rename (rev9.dol to boot.dol) and put it in a folder (IOS36_rev9 Installer) and put it in (APPs) folder .
2- run HBC and look for (IOS36_rev9 Installer) and run it .
3- when prompt choose internet install and it should do it

Wad Install :
1- rename (rev9.dol to boot.dol) and put it in a folder (IOS36_rev9 Installer) and put it in (APPs) folder .
2- put (IOS36-64-v1042.wad) in the root of SD Card .
3- run HBC and look for (IOS36_rev9 Installer) and run it .
4- when prompt choose Wad install and it should do it

I tried both Internet and WAD installation.

But I get the error:
>> Extracting content #00... ERROR! (ret = -1017)

How to fix?

I have:
IOS16 IOS249(From Custom rev8) IOS154 IOS257 IOS36 (Custom rev3) IOS37(Custom rev8)

And Preloader 0.29 and did update like this:
Install IOS60
Install System menu 4.0 in my region...

(From 3.2) Trucha still works...


A Wad manager works for me... (IOS16 found and installs wads like normal for me)

Maybe you can help me BIG MOE.

This happened for both my rev08 and rev09. I would choose WAD Install and it would patch and fix everything fine with OK and SUCCESSFUL. (Yes, I have IOS36-64-v1042.wad in the root of SD card)

When I go and load a game in Backup Launcher, the DVD drive clicks over and over as if its trying to read and I get the DVD Read Error 349. However, when I load rev07 via .wad file and load BL, game works fine.

I was able to get my hands on a rev08 .wad (NOT the .dol with WAD/Network install option). Loaded that via WAD Manager and BL worked. tried the .dol version and did WAD install and no go.

With rev09, I did WAD and nothing even though successful. So I did NETWORK on my Wii. BL works. However, I am modding my fiancee's Wii as well as family members and they dont have their hooked up to the NETWORK so doing a NETWORK install on rev09, wouldnt work. I couldnt get the WAD install to work on mine and I doubt it will work for them.

Any suggestions?

ok let me clear things up a little

1- IOS36-64-v1042.wad is not included in the download for copyrights reasons

( Google = BFF )

2- rev9.dol = cIOS36_rev9-Installer.dol ( that's the only .dol file in the download

)

3- Errors with ( ret= -1017 ) in most cases fixed if you use AnyTitleDeleter and deleted cIOS249 then do a fresh install

.

4- most internet installs are successful except some cases due to busy servers , so be sure at each installs that it will ask you to reboot after a success massage , if it only say done and didn't ask to reboot just do it again , and in case of an errors just do it again

I have one question, I have installed IOS36_rev9 will I be able to access the shop channel without being asked to update. Sorry if it is a stupid question but I do not know that much about wii hacking.

I've have this 1017 error problem also, but when i run any title deleter and choose system files it says it can't read titles or something similar, I'm on 3.2E, heeeelp!

I was getting weird errors running anytitledeleter, anyregion, and other stuff. Iosdowngrader fixed it for me.

So you might want to try that

try again buddy , in most cases if nothing work at all just run IOSDowngrader and cIOSDowngrader again then use AnyTitleDelete
