Hello.

I have a slim PSP 3000 running CFW 6.60-PRO-B.

I want to make an EBOOT for the following games:

Rage Racer
Die Hard Trilogy
GTA 1
Loaded

When I do this they all work fine except none have working music, just sound effects. I have researched this and found that it is because the original PSX CD had the audio tracks in CDDA format (playable in a normal CD player) and that this stops the music from working properly when being converted to an EBOOT. I also tried and followed the instructions for using the CDDA Popstation by Tinnus but still I had no music. Using PopsLoader (holding down R as the EBOOT started to choose a Popsloader version such as 3.71) did not fix the issue either.

Does anyone have a guide I can follow to create working EBOOTS of the above games which has music or EBOOTS themselves that are known to have music when being played?

Many thanks.

I must be missing something since Pepsi-Man won't work after using this program, and this is an ISO extracted from a previously working (albeit without music) EBOOT.

I think i'm missing something....why not just use the original eboot?

As for your problem, with that much info....no idea.

I had the same problem but managed to figure it out. Heres how I did it.

Get hold of the original PSX disc or ISO (ISOs are easy to find)

If you get the ISO like i did. Create a virtual disc of it using Daemon Tools (what i used)

Use IMGBURN to extract the ISO as a BIN/CUE file

Use PSX2PSP v1.4.2 to create the Eboot from said BIN/CUE file

Ive used this to create my own PSX Eboots for Ridge Racer 4, Loaded, Bust A Move 2, Mickeys Wild Adventure, Rayman, Wipeout 3 and True Pinball which ALL have CDDA tracks. This method has worked 100% for me.

Only difference for me is i am using 6.60 PRO-C

Also, note that these games require a specific POPS to get the CD audio to work, but I cant remember which it is. 3.XX i know that much, You may well be correct with 3.71

Done

Just a background PSx games uses mix mode which has audio track and data tracks. ISO is data only, so more than likely you have multiple bin and 1 cue file. What you need to do is mount this cue file and rebackup this game into .ccd / img which is a better container and has support for both data and cd audio track.

You can get alcohol 120% free version - http://trial.alcohol-soft.com/en/downloadtrial.php no crack needed just remember to don't agree to the use idle time for data mining.

1. Mount the cue as virtual drive
2. Go into Alchohol 120% and backup as ccd, img
3. Use psx2psp and select the img file you just backed up.
