My apologies if what I posted turned out to be duplicate. I just wanted to help other people by consolidating information as I've been scouring an innumerable number of threads over several different forums. I can't believe I may have missed the solution somewhere. o_O

At the very least, no harm done.

Good intentions, and all that.

No need to apologize, we all know that most if not all of the members post to help others. Although, you could have mentioned on your previous post that you have consolidated all of the steps to make it easier to follow, which you will also find in the first page of this topin.

But like you said no harm done.

Cool, so basically the fix is like an update to 0.3Gamma. Thanks, I'll check it out....I wouldn't be surprised if there are more games in the future that will have the 002 problem, so this is helpful.

Another question: will the fix allow you to play Sam & Max Season One (so far the only game that doesn't work on any backup loaders)? Or any of the games that had to be run through IOSPatcher before playing such as Medal of Honor Heroes 2, House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return, etc.? Or as I imagine it's specific to games with 002 error....I guess the others can be released as a patch for nearly 100% compatibility!

Look at this thread, i think it's pretty up to date:

IOS Version Patching is still needed, and the issue with Sam & Max could be something else.

i am trying to play Bleach Versus Crusade but i think i might have burned the disc wrong. can someone help point me in the right direction?

i have 3.3U d2pro chip installed. i intend to play the disc through the regular disc channel. i believe i have cIOS rev7 installed on 249 and the IOS51 and WiiShiop update installed.

followed the direction here, extracted main.dol with WiiScrubber, patched the 002 error and forced language to Japanese, then re-inserted. and then brickblocked the iso and burned.

as soon as i insert this backup into my wii i get a black screen with an error message that says:

"An error has occurred. Press the Eject Button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii Operations Manual for help troubleshooting."

Has anyone run into similar problems? what might I have done wrong?

Yea, got my NFS:U pirate game today, as expected, there was the 002 error from launching the game through Gecko OS.

Then I got myself the Gamma002 fix thing, soon after that the game WORKS!

But meh, what a waste of a DVD, the game's graphic sucks bad. Now before you start a flame war on "Graphics don't matter", I really thought the game would be of better graphics, heck man, the game can't even compete with Most Wanted in graphics term.

Gameplay-wise, this game is well, kinda good. First NFS game to be played on steering wheel, and also the first to be played on Nintendo Wii. Gonna get the PS2 version to see how the game looks like.

But anyways, the thing works!

That's because the ISO is fake-signed, and you have 3.3. The only way to run it would be with GeckoOS, assuming you have 3.3UV1.

This confirms WiiScrubber also Fake-Signs the ISO. I mean, if it wouldn't, we could modify main.dol easily since begining, and we wouldn't have this kind of problems with FW updates.

So, I think the first post needs to be modified.

i can't even run it through GeckoOS. as soon as i put the disc in the Wii gives me the black screen with the error message. i wasn't able to even load GeckoOS.

i am suspecting the brickblocking messed up my disc.

On the first post I never said that the WiiScruber doesn't fake-sign the .iso, I just said that there is no such thing as: right click on the 2 partition and click on "Trucha sign!!", WiiScruber automatically fake-sign it, Trucha Signer needs the right click blah blah

Run GeckoOS first and then insert the disk... That's what I do with the Trucha signed games i have (got 3.3U)

loading GeckoOS first worked! thanks! going to try downgrading to 3.2U now and see if i can boot through regular disc channel.

when i booted through GeckoOS i had 2 thin black bars on the left and right side. is that normal? or should the game fill up the whole widescreen?
