No, like I said before, the flashcards aren't illegal, just the roms.

And to start a topic, click "New Topic" at the top of the topic list.

Oh and something.
It will work on a japanese dsi i think.
Because it haves a regionsecurity.
Maybe American games would work on sd card on a amerikan dsi.
And europe games on a europe dsi!

be not mad if doesn't work

I am still waiting for a hack for the DSi. I still think that if we can decrypt the program in the binary file, and replace the program with hack code, and then use the newly replaced code to manually install dsi ware games.

In concept it seems like it would work, but in reality, it could be near-impossible.

The problem is that we don't have the decryption/encryption key. Without those, we can't do jack shit.

You can't play pirated DSiware games because each time you download a game, it is encrypted with a signature that makes it exclusive to that handheld, so even if your DSi fragged on you and your games aren't on your SD card, you are screwed and as far as I know, you can't do anything about that. Games cannot be loaded off an SD card at this time, in a later firmware update that will most likely be possible like the Wii, however that will be a while yet.
Right... Well enough flaming already... I believe that we have to wait some time before we can install pirated DSi ware games on our DSi's.... LONG time I think... Actually a DSi Hombrew Channel was started (here on GBAtemp) and some people where trying to find the DSi's common key... But the project seems pretty dead to me...

Sorry to get your hopes up, but that guy hasn't made an update, and as far as we know, hasn't made any progress in a long time. If someone's going to hack it, it probably won't be him.

I believe loading games (ROMS or DSi ware) from an SD card is going to happen next year... Wii got a loooong time to be softmodded.... But it's wii... I mean don't expect anything too soon...

I just signed up to post something here: I was thinking

With DS ROMS - for pokemon games (as an example) theres this program (XDelta i think) that can make patches...

So would this work?:

Copy the Internet Browser and Another Game Onto The Computer Off the 1st DSI.
Make a patch of all the necessary files.
Use the patch on another DSI's Internet Browser ROM who doesn't have that game.
Copy it onto the 2nd DSI's SD card.
Copy it onto the System... Would this Work???

If not then

Nice job bumping a two year old thread just to tell us that a patcher can patch things :/...First off, if it were like that, then for one we need to know WHAT the DSi checks for, WHAT we needed to patch, WHAT is going in the patch. It's not like there is some magical patch floating out in the digital world that does shit to make things happen. Tons of methods would work, provided there were a known path...as obvious as it is, we don't quite know very many paths (woot for the two limited paths we have -_-").

I know that this thread has no replies anymore but i don't know if you can go onto the internet browser on the dsi and download a dsiware game onto the sd card will it work?

I don't know if it will but because it's using the dsi will it give a code out and then allow you to play it?

You can't download with the Opera browser..... And it wouldn't work anyway.
