This is kind of a technical question about the Wii, but here goes:
In the Hollywood SoC, there's a component called the "memory and I/O bridge." It interfaces Broadway with RAM and I/O (hence the name). It's also connected to Starlet. What aspects of the Wii can Starlet control and limit from the game? What really goes on inside the memory and I/O bridge?
